There’s no better time than now to unlock the full potential of your Kenyon Grill. Whether you’re grilling indoors or outdoors, our guide will help you master everything from cookout classics to new recipes. Get ready to elevate your grilling game with our expert tips and tricks!

Master the Basics of Grilling

Grilling with Kenyon Electric Grills is easier and safer than ever before. With flameless and smokeless technology, you can enjoy delicious meals inside or out, all while keeping your space clean and smoke-free. Follow these simple tips for perfect results every time:

.

1. Set Up for Success

Start by placing a drip tray into the bottom of your grill. Make sure the burner brackets are not resting on the tray—this allows everything to heat evenly and function

properly.

.

.

2. Add Liquid for Smoke-Free Flavor

To prevent smoke and add extra flavor, always fill the drip tray with 2 cups of liquid before grilling. This step is essential for both function and taste.

Here are some tasty ideas:

  • Water – simple and effective for smokeless cooking
  • Beer – perfect for brats and sausages
  • Apple juice – enhances pork with subtle sweetness
  • Lemon-lime soda – complements seafood beautifully
  • Wine – adds depth to steaks and lamb

Never use flammable liquids. After filling the drip tray, reinstall your cooking grate or griddle.

.

3. Plug In & Power On

Plug your Kenyon grill directly into a grounded outlet. (Do not use extension cords.) Then place the grate or griddle back on top.

.

.

4. Preheat Your Grill

Preheating is a crucial step for a successful grilling session. With the lid closed, let the grill preheat for 5–9 minutes depending on the food you’re preparing. This ensures even heat and ideal searing temps.

.

.

5. Grill Smarter, Not Harder

Use only high-temp plastic or nylon utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick surface of the cooking grate. If you need a set that’s up for the job, our Kenyon Utensil Kit is built to perform.

.

.

6. Close the Lid & Cook

Once preheated, add your food, close the lid, and let the grill do its thing. With no flare-ups or smoke, you’ll get evenly cooked, restaurant-quality results—every single time.

.

.

7. Clean Up with Ease

After grilling, grab a wet paper towel with tongs and wipe down the grate while it’s still warm. Once cooled, you can place the grate or griddle in the dishwasher—because great meals shouldn’t end with a mess.

 Classics on the Grill

Great Steaks

  • Choosing the Meat – pick a steak that’s at least 1 1/2 inches thick with marbling in the meat.  Marbling means the fat is dispersed throughout the steak and the flavor will be, too. The fat adds flavor and makes it tender and juicy.
  • Grill with High heat – grill over high, direct heat and only turn steaks once for the best sear.
  • Let it Rest – after grilling, let the steak rest for 5-15 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

The Perfect Burger

  • Use the Right Meat – for the juiciest burgers, use high-grade 80% lean, freshly ground beef chuck.
  • Form the Patties – make an indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to keep it from puffing up.
  • For a Juicy Burger – avoid pressing down on the burger while it cooks to preserve its flavorful juices.

Must-Have Grilling Tools

Kenyon grill utensils

From grill utensils to lids, make sure that you have the right tools for all of your grilling needs.

Grill Utensils – Ensure you have the right tools to make grilling a breeze.  Only use grill utensils that are made of silicone or high temperature plastic.  This will prevent damage to the coated grilling surface. Our Grill Utensil Kit includes a spatula, fork, tongs, and basting brush, all designed for use with Kenyon grills.

Griddle – Will come in handy for most of our breakfast recipes. Ideal for breakfast recipes like pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The smooth griddle is interchangeable with the standard grate, giving you more versatility in your cooking.

Optional Lids – Create convection-like heat by covering your grill, which helps cook food more evenly and faster. This is perfect for reducing grilling times and ensuring everything cooks just right.

Coated Drip Tray -Upgrade to a permanent, non-stick drip tray that captures fat and juices, preventing flare-ups. It’s dishwasher-safe and never needs replacing.
